Frequently Asked Questions
Daily Parable is a daily Bible-story app for kids aged 10–14. Each day a new story from the Old or New Testament unlocks, retold in kid-friendly language, paired with a daily affirmation, a storybook-style illustration, and the original Bible verse. Available in English and Dutch — and the library keeps growing.
Yes. Every story and illustration is prepared and reviewed before it ships — there's no live chat, no user-submitted content, and no comments. Illustrations stay in a warm, family-friendly storybook style with no scary imagery. The app contains zero advertising.
Everyone gets 3 days of full access — no credit card required. After the trial, the first three stories stay free, and full access requires a subscription. Subscriptions are managed by Apple through the App Store.
€2.50/month billed yearly (€29.99/year), or €3.99/month billed monthly — that's roughly 37% off when you pick the yearly plan. Cancel any time in iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
The original verses are sourced from the World English Bible (WEB) for English and the Statenvertaling (1939, public domain) for Dutch. The kid-friendly retelling is generated separately and is clearly marked as such.
Account data (email, optional display name, birth year, theme preference, reading progress, subscription status) is stored in Supabase, encrypted in transit and at rest. Stories and images are cached on your device for offline use. We don't use Google Analytics, Facebook SDK, Mixpanel, or any advertising network.

Each story has two illustration variants — one for ages 10–12 and one for 12+. The right one is chosen automatically from the child's date of birth, so the look matures with the reader.
